U.S. stocks were mixed in choppy trading on Wednesday as investors awaited the minutes of the Federal Reserve's latest meeting, while Alphabet shares dipped after the U.S. said it was considering breaking up Google. .N

At 11:47 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.93% at 42,473.11. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.58% at 5,784.65 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.42% at 18,259.404.
