U.S. stock index futures dipped on Thursday as markets awaited labor data for clues on the economic outlook and the likelihood of further interest-rate cuts from the Federal Reserve, while watching for a potential escalation in Middle East hostilities. .N

At 9:06 ET, Dow e-minis 1YMc1 were down 0.33% at 42,371. S&P 500 e-minis ESc1 were down 0.27% at 5,744.75, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis NQc1 were down 0.45% at 19,920.
